A London neighborhood had to be evacuated because of a mysterious object which turned out to be a non-harmful replica (“It’s only a model,” Patsy might have said) of a famous destructive device: the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, as seen in a certain landmark historical epic.

Well, my “Monty Python’s Flying Circus” complete megaset arrived today, and I’m thrilled. I’ve already watched the “Spanish Inquisition” episode — No one expects the Spanish Inquisition! — and I’d forgotten that it was the same episode which also includes the semaphore version of “Wuthering Heights,” which always makes me laugh out loud.

C. of E. Productions Presents

The last few times I’ve seen Monty Python marathons on TV I have searched in vain for this skit. It’s been several years since then, and many more years since I’ve seen this skit.

Last week, all I did was link to ‘coma; this week, it seems all I’m doing is linking to Locusts & Honey. (John says this clip “reminds me of Annual Conference is so many ways.”)
