Faith
I’m a member of the United Methodist Church.
John Wesley’s experience in a prayer meeting at Aldersgate changed his life and led to a new movement of spiritual revival. I hope for a revival in the United Methodist Church, which in the past few decades has suffered through declining membership and differences in outlook between denominational officials and the church membership. I’m a strong believer in United Methodism, a “big tent” denomination with room for intelligent discourse, but one with a historic foundation in strong Biblical principles. I only hope that our leadership will continue to stand by those principles.
I love my home church, Shelbyville First UMC.
I am a certified United Methodist layspeaker, available to speak in churches when the pastor needs a break or serve in other ways.
De Colores! I was a member of Nashville Emmaus Community Walk to Emmaus #104, and I now consider myself a member of the Highland Rim Emmaus Community, although I have not been active in recent months.
