We’re far enough along that I can now give you some tentative details about the LEAMIS International Ministries mission trip I will be leading this summer to Kenya. Our primary contact in Kenya, Bishop Paul Mbithi, has asked us to go to a church in Kakamega, in western Kenya, north of Kisumu.
It looks as if my proposed dates of Wednesday, July 14 through Tuesday, July 27 will work.
LEAMIS co-founder Debra Snellen has been talking to Paul up to this point. Paul will be in the U.S. in February when we are having the next LEAMIS board meeting, and Debra and I hope to talk to him more about the trip at that time. He’s pricing some of the logistical things we’ll need to set a budget (and a price) for the trip. Eventually, I’ll hopefully be dealing directly with our host pastor in Kakamega.
If you’ve never considered taking a foreign mission trip, this might be the year. If not, of course, I would humbly ask for your support of my trip.
I’ll give you more information on the trip as it develops.
