I’m getting ready to watch the Doctor Who movie on BBC America, and I’ve been watching the little documentary about the show that they have had on in advance.
They just showed the scene where The Doctor has to wipe Donna Noble’s memory and restore her to the shallow woman she used to be. Donna’s star-gazing grandfather, who knows the truth but can never mention it to Donna, knows what Donna and The Doctor have meant to each other. He also knows that The Doctor will now be alone. He tells The Doctor, “Every night, I will look up at the stars. On her behalf, I will look up at the stars and think of you.”
I teared up when I first saw the episode, and frankly I teared up a little when I saw the clip just now.
