Forward-looking statements

I need something to look forward to. I don’t have a future mission trip scheduled, I’m not in a play right now, we haven’t started planning the symphony concert, and … frankly, I’m kind of depressed right now. I need something to get me out of a funk I’ve been in for a few weeks.

I know of a number of people who are in a lot worse shape than I am — I don’t really have much reason to feel sorry for myself. I have several friends, actually, who are in actual crises of one kind or another. I’ve just got … ennui.

I have been there, done that. I do need something planned just about all the time to look forward to, and, quite frankly, Christmas doesn't do it for me anymore ;) . I can so relate! I hope you find a new diversion soon :)
