Carolyn Schussler has given me permission to reveal that she and Dave gave me the Flip Video camera.

Carolyn and I have been on LEAMIS trips together before; she was the one who taught me soapmaking, and I’m relying on her expertise to help me pass that along to Kim Lachler for this year’s trip. Carolyn was supposed to have been a part of our Costa Rica trip last year, even going through training, but had to pull out due to family illness at the last minute. She’s also the producer of that wonderful LEAMIS introductory video I posted a few days ago.

I think she wishes she could go to Kenya with us this year — and we’d have loved that too. But a bit of her and Dave’s generosity is going with us, and hopefully I can get some good footage for incorporation into the next LEAMIS video.
