Fake grandpa, day 2

Uncle John, again

Uncle John, again

Well, today it was time for Uncle John to visit the third-grade nephew for grandparents’ day. When I arrived, the students were writing a paragraph about what they would do if they met George Washngton.
My nephew wrote that George would teach him how to use a bayonet and cannon and then they would go to war together.
A typical third-grade-boy answer, but still kind of sad when one thinks about it.
Anyway, I had a great time both days and was happy to be there for my nephews.

I was in the Little Guy's first-grade class on Friday morning, and a kid came in and said to the teacher, “Nixon was a criminal. He had people take stuff he wasn't supposed to have, and then he quit being president before they could arrest him.” It's so nice to see parents supplementing their children's education.
