A scary story

Well, it goes like this: LEAMIS wants me to co-lead a trip to Kenya next summer. But the dates, in mid-July, originally looked like they would not work from a job standpoint.

Now, the publisher and editor have agreed to let me go.

The scary part? Now I have to trust God to get me the money, somehow. I know that many of the people who have supported me so generously over the past six years are in the same boat that we’re all in. I’m hoping that perhaps I can widen my net and get smaller donations, if necessary, from a larger group of people. I just hope I can be as bold as I need to be without being an annoyance or a burden on the people I care about.

I don’t have an exact target yet. I’m not going to send out any fund-raising letters until after the first of the year.

Keep me in prayer.

John – whenever you have a link for donations set up, please let me know. I'll post a blurb about it on my blog. I don't know how much that will help since it's just a family blog, but it's worth a shot. :)
