The honesty that comes with experience

My sister-in-law turned me on to a blog that I think is just terrific: Margaret and Helen. The name is a bit of misnomer; Helen seems to do most of the posting, but her grandson encouraged her to start the blog so that she could keep up with her friend Margaret.

Anyway, Helen is 82 years old and says — er, writes — exactly what she thinks. Good for her, whether or not you agree with her politics (or her, um, salty language).

John, Thanks for pointing me in their direction. I find the candor refreshing, salty language and all.

Wow – I can only hope to be that honest and well-written in my blog someday. Though I don't think I want to ever be that blindly liberal. She talks about people not seeing the real McCain yet she turns a blind eye to Barack's shortcomings and questionable friends.
