It was DAK

The catalog I was trying to remember when writing my bread machine post was DAK, named for its founder, Drew A. Kaplan.

The one I had to give away was a Welbilt which was made by DAK. I found a generous person online who had a “ministry”, for lack of a better word, of making copies of this machine's manual and emailing them to people. It was a great machine, a 2.5 lb. one. I got it via Freecycle and it was hardly used. I miss it! I might head to Walmart if you think your Sunbeam is a good machine.

Well, now that you have a bread machine, you might want to go read this post: feedinggroom.blogspot.com/2008/08/bread-my-new-best-friend.html

I bought a copy of the book and I'm about ready to move the bread machine to the basement for archival purposes.

I may have to try this — but right now, I'm having fun with the new bread machine (remember, it was a replacement for an old bread machine). I have a loaf in right now.
