The snow finally reaches Shelbyville

Well, they’ve been predicting a big snowfall all day, and I have to admit I didn’t believe them. I figured that even if Nashville got snow, we wouldn’t. But it’s here, and from the looks of the radar the forecast is going to come true.

My father, who loves a good snowfall, has — in a cruel twist of fate — gone with my mother to East Tennessee for the weekend, where there is no snow and daytime temperatures will keep there from being much this weekend.

Now, I’m wondering whether the Cub Scout troop that’s scheduled to tour the newspaper tomorrow will make it or not.

And yet nobody can send distant relatives a picture, or even post one on the blog?
