A good laugh in Sunday School

Originally, I was supposed to be the substitute teacher for my Sunday School class this morning. But when I had laryngitis this week, Jay Davis agreed to bring in a documentary on apochryphal or extra-Biblical books that he’d taped off TV. Trouble is, Jay had recorded it on his cable company-issued DVR, and he discovered last night that the DVR won’t work unless hooked up to cable, so he couldn’t just unplug it and bring it to church.

So Jay and Cassie brought a substitute: a video tape of the Christian stand-up comic Chonda Pierce. I think I’d heard the name before but I’d never seen her. She was quite enjoyable, and I don’t think anyone minded a break from more serious fare.
