Well, I knew I wouldn’t be able to write much on Saturday, because of work and the hayride, but I also knew I’d have the afternoon and the evening today, and I was able to get back on pace.
I’m a third of the way through the 50,000 word requirement, and yet in some ways it all still feels like prologue. It’s not, really; part of my intent is to show how the preparation and training for a mission trip ties in with the trip itself, and how the teamwork and interaction among the team members lays the groundwork for the trip. But it’s a novel about a mission trip, and I think readers may expect more interaction with more Kenyans sooner.
