Comments
Comment spam, in my experience, seems to come in waves. Right now, I’m getting an awful lot of it. Akismet does a great job, but the numbers are so high right now that it’s hard for me to take the time to sift through the filter looking for legitimate messages that were caught by mistake, which happens on very rare occasions.
If you are an actual human being who left an actual comment which did not show up on the blog, please let me know.

I’m getting a lot of spam right now too. I think one of the reasons Askimet does such a good job filtering spaments - I’ve never had one get through - is that it goes slightly overboard so that you’ll occasionally get some real comments tagged as spam. Then , every once in a while, Askimet seems to temporarily lose its mind and sends way too many to the spam queue. It it my one big frustration with Wordpress but I’m willing to live with it because there is no better alternative.
