Long day

Well, for a few weeks I’m going in at 6 a.m. instead of my usual time of 7 a.m. Today, I worked in the office from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m., then I went directly to the United Way office, from which Dawn Holley and I drove to Arnold Air Force Base, which had a special program tonight to thank area health and human service agencies. Dawn was there representing United Way; I was there covering it for the newspaper, but I’m also a United Way board member. We toured Arnold Engineering Development Center and then had a reception with heavy hors d’oeurve. I didn’t get home until about 9 tonight.

The evening at Arnold was fun, but it’s made for a 15-hour day, and I’m pooped. I did a little bit of tweaking to the new theme after getting home tonight — but I enjoy that sort of thing. Now, I’ll watch The Daily Show and a little of Colbert and go to bed.
