Back to workout

Between the heat wave and feeding my parents’ cat, I didn’t make it to the rec center too often for the first part of August. I didn’t make it at all during the Celebration (although I did take those murderous steps up and down to the press box more times than I care to recall). Tomorrow, I will start getting back into the habit of working out.

Oh, yeah, me too. I haven’t walked much in a couple of weeks…once at the beach, but that’s about it. Now that it’s cooling off a bit, I need to get to work!! :)

Working out is hard in this little town where I now live. With 2,000 people, it doesn’t have a single gym. But in a town of 5,000 a half hour away, there are three tiny gyms. I selected a rust-filled iron dungeon where at least 80% of the equipment is literally older than me, and it shows. But I’m grateful to have that, at least. Give me dumbells and a bench, and I’ll get it done.
