The weekend

Well, I spent much of yesterday with my nieces, nephews, sister, youngest brother and sister-in-law (plus my parents). I hadn’t seen my sister’s kids (she had two of the three with her) since June, back before the Bolivia trip. We went to see how my brother and sister-in-law are coming with their new place, and then later in the day went to my nephews’ youth football games. We also watched my parents’ DVD of “Night At The Museum,” which I hadn’t seen. I highly recommend it.

I had to be at the newspaper last night from 9 until after midnight making sure that our Sunday paper got put to bed. We normally do the paper on Saturday afternoons, but this weekend we wait until the announcement of the World Grand Champion.

In all the day’s excitement, I completely forgot about an interview I was supposed to have done yesterday morning at the Shelbyville Airport. Luckily, the people at the paper were understanding, and it wasn’t something we had to have.

My sister and the kids stayed and my parents’ last night, so we all went to church and then out to eat afterward. I got home at mid-afternoon and I’ve been taking it pretty easy since then. (I do have a load of laundry working.) Fortunately, we don’t publish tomorrow.

    Many good thoughts.
Waiting for a paper to go to bed is not always of the fun.
I have a slinky that I play with when I'm waiting.
    Heh.
  • A. I have no idea how you find time to blog. You are so busy!!

    B. Thanks for this movie review. I have been wondering about it. The 8yo really wants to see it, but I rarely trust her taste in movies [unlike her taste in clothes, which is impeccable]. Once her favorite movie ceases to be in any way related to Barbie, we'll reconsider. :)
  • If you were to look at my apartment, you would see that I save a great deal of time by never doing housework. :P
  • I was surprised how much I liked that movie. It makes for a fun evening. :)
