Life intervenes

Sometimes I wish we could go back to the golden days of Hollywood when studios carefully kept all of the dirt on their stars away from the media.

Just the other night, my brother was telling me about the new Wes Anderson movie, The Darjeeling Limited, and we both agreed that we want to see it. I still want to see it, but today’s strange news about Owen Wilson will no doubt be hard to escape while watching it.

I’m as guilty as anyone of thinking that if I were just wealthy or successful, it would solve all my problems, when it’s abundantly clear that the wealthy and successful are no more exempt from humanity than the rest of us.
