Yo soy enferma

Apologies for subject matter:

I’ve had a lot of success avoiding the dreaded traveler’s diarrhea on my previous mission trips, but I must have let my guard down somehow on this one, and it’s hit me with a vengeance. Yesterday, it was just an annoyance. Wnen it was still with me this morning, I took one of the sample Cipro that the doctor had given me for last year’s trip. As I walked to the school from the home where I’m staying I began to feel achy and I realized that I was getting dehydrated. We had a fairly light schedule today anyway (more about that when I get home) and so, after grabbing a couple of bottles of water, I told Debra I was going home to lie down for a couple of hours.

I ended up sleeping from 9:30 or so until 12:45. I feel better, although the Cipro hasn’t yet taken its full effect. Now, no one is here at the school. I will wait for a little bit to see if Debra or anyone else returns after lunch; if not, I will go back home, hang out and wait for leadership training tonight.
