Relay for Life

I did not make it to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life tonight — it’s been a long week. Heck, it’s been a long month. But my new boss, René, was there and sent me this photo of two cancer survivors with whom I am somewhat familiar: my parents.

    It was hard for me to find the “comment” button…I didn’t know your parents were cancer survivors!

    My mother had cancer seven or eight years ago. My father has had several skin cancers removed — he’s not been through chemo or anything like that. He definitely qualifies as a cancer survivor, though.
