John at Locusts & Honey talks briefly about the problem of linking to posts you don’t necessarily agree with — because you think they’re good for discussion, or thought-provoking or what have you. I usually make some kind of disclaimer (“I don’t necessarily agree with what Smith is saying here, but you need to read it ….”), but I think it’s good to promote an environment where linking does not automatically or universally imply agreement.
