Well, the reception for retiring T-G editor Kay Rose (seen here with publisher Hugh Jones) went swimmingly tonight. We had worked very hard to make it nice, and I was at the Fly Arts Center 90 minutes before the reception tonight helping our advertising manager and one of our display advertising staff roll up little pieces of roast beef, turkey and ham and spear them with toothpicks.
I think Kay was truly moved by the turnout. I don’t know what our exact attendance was, but I think it probably totalled several hundred by the time the two-hour reception had ended.
