… apologies to Navin Johnson.
It’s interesting, because this year’s book gives one a peek into the production schedule.
AT&T’s acquisition of BellSouth was approved December 29, and the re-branding ad campaign has now begun. The new Bedford County phone book I received today has the AT&T logo on the cover, with tiny letters reading “BellSouth is now joined with AT&T.” But everything inside the phone book, including promotional house ads in the yellow pages, refers only to BellSouth. I cannot see any mention of AT&T at all. I imagine the phone book must have been ready to roll by Dec. 29, then they held it up just long enough to re-do the cover, but didn’t have enough time to re-do anything else.
