Even though the Oscar ceremony won’t take place until Feb. 25, the Academy found out I was in town and went ahead and presented me with my statuette a little early.

Actually, this was a wonderful little exhibit at the Hollywood & Highland shopping complex, which adjoins the home of the Oscars, the Kodak Theatre, on Hollywood Boulevard. In one display case were all of Katherine Hepburn’s Oscar statuettes. In other display cases were some of the statuettes which will be awarded this year.

And, yes, there was a statuette with which visitors could pose.
