I can relate to that post. I did meet my hubby online in a chat room, but my bestest friend lives five hours away from me, and while we Skype nearly every day, sometimes for hours, we’ve only seen each other four times. I do miss her dearly and wish often that we could get together for tea or a meal, but while that aspect can be painful, I wouldn’t trade her friendship for anything, and without the internet, I would’ve never met her.

I guess it’s a give and take, eh? I wish I had more friends here. I have few people to do anything with, and my social life pretty much sucks most of the time. But people my age are married and popping out babies/raising kids, and they have no time for socializing except with other moms. That’s why my best relationships have almost always been with older women.

    ok, I’ll stop rambling… :)
