Battlestar Galactica

The season premiere of Battlestar Galactica was so good it’s scary. In many ways, it’s a terrible shame that this series shares its name and basic premise with a very, very different TV show; people who turn up their nose at laser guns and goofy-looking robots are refusing to see that this is something completely different: a gutsy, smart, amazingly well-performed and well-written story with parallels to, and allegories of, current events but with complexity instead of soapbox moralizing.

The Emmy nominators are, suffice it to say, idiots.

Battlestar will suffer from the same thing Buffy did–being a genius show that the Emmy voters will take one look at the title and never nominate..

OH well..I will still love it and rave about it to everyone I meet.
