Sunday morning
I don’t know whether what I thought was a cold was actually just allergies, but I feel much better today, except for a slight headache.
Our church has only one service this morning, at 10 a.m., instead of our normal 8:30 and 10:50 services. The new Murfreesboro District Superintendent, Rev. Cathie Leimenstoll, was our special guest, and we had a luncheon following the service.
Edna Lee Borders and I talked about our recent Mountain T.O.P. trip during the normal fifth Sunday “mission moment.” Edna Lee and Andy are still pumped, and are determined that we’ll send a larger group next year! (Andy did not participate in the mission moment because he’s the chief cook for our men’s club, and he was downstairs getting the luncheon ready to go.)
My parents came — my father, who retired as a pastor just as Rev. Leimenstoll was coming in, wanted to meet her and let her know he was available to fill in for vacationing pastors or what have you.
