Thanks for nothing, AB!

As regular readers know, one of my favorite people on TV is Alton Brown of “Good Eats” on the Food Network. The show is part science lesson, part sketch comedy, part cooking show, and it’s one of my favorites.

Today, Food Network ran a marathon of viewer-selected “Good Eats” episodes (I was at work, but I taped it) followed by a behind-the-scenes special followed by the premiere of Alton’s new limited series, the food travelogue “Feasting On Asphalt.”

All good news, so far. But I went to Alton’s web site while sitting here watching “Feasting On Asphalt” and found out that Alton, one of my favorite TV personalities, will be making a personal appearance in Nashville, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort.

On August 12.

While I’m in Kenya.

Thanks for nothing, AB!
