‘The time, Alex. What’s the time?’

The CrossingIn honor of the holiday, The History Channel is showing one of my favorite made-for-TV movies, The Crossing, starring Jeff Daniels as George Washington in a taut, lovingly-made drama about the crossing of the Delaware and the attack on Trenton, N.J., a turning point in the Revolutionary War. It was made in 2000 for A&E, which is a sister channel to The History Channel. Daniels is great, as is Sebastian Roché as Col. John Glover. (Roché, although much younger, is almost a dead ringer for Rene Auberjonois of “Boston Legal” and “Deep Space Nine.”)
