The steering committee for the annual Nashville Symphony concert in Shelbyville usually has one wrap-up meeting after each year’s concert. For the past few years, that meeting has been a special treat, held on the houseboat of the banker whose institution is one of our primary sponsors.
This year will be a treat as well — but a different kind. I found out today that we’re going to meet just before the July 7 performance of the symphony’s annual Summer Festival (until this year it was known as the Beethoven Festival, but they’ve expanded their repertoire) at the War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville. We’ll meet, then have supper, then get to enjoy the concert, which will include selections from Beethoven and Mozart. We’ll be seated at a VIP table for supper and the concert.
Cool, huh?
