Buck Owens, R.I.P.

The Complete Hee Haw 13 DVD CollectionAssociated Press has just moved an alert that the great country musician Buck Owens has died at 76. Owens is probably best known as co-host of “Hee Haw” with Roy Clark, but he left that program long before the end of its run. He was a great entertainer, a role model to singer-songwriters like Dwight Yoakam (with whom he collaborated on “The Streets of Bakersfield”) and a radio station owner and executive.
