Associated Press has just moved an alert that the great country musician Buck Owens has died at 76. Owens is probably best known as co-host of “Hee Haw” with Roy Clark, but he left that program long before the end of its run. He was a great entertainer, a role model to singer-songwriters like Dwight Yoakam (with whom he collaborated on “The Streets of Bakersfield”) and a radio station owner and executive.
