A very quiet Saturday

Well, after a week in which I was alternately very busy and sick with the stomach bug, I have nothing going on today. Which is a good thing, although I should probably be making more productive use of it than I am.

I came home from work yesterday and caught a whiff that the pest control guy had been to the apartment. I was horrified; the kitchen floor looks, well, awful, and I had these visions of the pest control guy telling my landlord that there was no use in him spraying so long as I was going to live like a pig. I mopped immediately.

I should be doing more to clean up the apartment today, but I haven’t so far. I should go out and walk around the block, too, and I probably will.

I stopped by the store for a couple of things this morning and bought my second-ever bag of Jim Beam whiskey-soaked sunflower seeds. I am not making this product up. I don’t drink whiskey, despite living 20 minutes away from Jack Daniel’s, but these sunflower seeds are actually pretty good. I tried them a few months ago and wanted another bag.

Sounds like my kitchen when we don’t have someone come clean every two weeks. :D We’re both terrible housekeepers. I haven’t seen those sunflower seeds. My guilty pleasure is Mezetti’s martini olives (big spanish olives marinated in dry vermouth) Delicious!
