It’s going to take a while to get back even what rudimentary harmonica skills I had several years ago. But I’m already beginning to rediscover how much fun it is to play, and to wonder what in the heck was wrong with me when I set it aside.
I can’t find my copy of “Harmonica For the Musical Hopeless” by Jon Gindick, the book and cassette with which I learned the harmonica. I may actually have loaned them to someone and never got them back. But I do have “Harmonica Americana,” which was sent to me by Mr. Gindick himself after I wrote about being a harmonica beginner and praised his book for its helpfulness. (He might not have been so generous if he’d realized what a dilettante I was.)
Fortunately, “Harmonica Americana” has some of the same introductory material as the how-to book, which is helpful to me as I try to refresh my knowledge and skills.
