Your local house of worship
I’ve been having all kinds of fun with Sim City 4, one of my Christmas gifts. One thing that’s new to this version as compared to previous Sim City versions I’ve played is something that I’d like to think is an essential part of any town or city:
Church.
After your city has reached a certain size, Sim City offers to let you place a “House of Worship.” Of course, one of the other nice things about this version is that so many things can be named by the player. So this is Ainsley UMC (named after my town, Ainsley, which came off the top of my head). The name pops up when you use the query tool to check out the building. It doesn’t show up in this snapshot, however.
Later, when I was awarded a second house of worship, I made it a Baptist church. As a city planner, I’m ecumenical.
