Uncle Stonehill

Our RecollectionsWell, looks like I’m in talk-your-ear-off blogging mode tonight. Hope you don’t mind.

Anyway, I was delighted to get the bi-weekly update e-mail from The Wittenburg Door tonight and discover that, as an online extra, they had an interview with one of my all-time favorite singer-songwriters, Randy Stonehill. I am so envious of Bob Gersztyn for getting the chance to talk to Randy; I should have tried to pitch that one myself.

I saw Randy perform at a church in Champaign back when I was in college (1988 I believe it was) and he was fantastic! I think I bought his Equator album three times (kept getting eaten or lost). Used to play Cosmetic Fixation on my keyboard. I’ll have to check out his new album.

Indeed, thats a good one. I pitched an interview Al Mohler, but I never heard back. Maybe Rob wasn’t thrilled with my Mohler moniker: The American Ayatollah.

I meant that in the best possible way, of course! =)
