A new look

A couple of months ago, I tried monkeying around with the site design, and I was never completely happy with the results. Tonight, I went looking for a WordPress template that I could use, with maybe a little minor modification. This blog and web site has had the URL “Lake Neuron” for a year and a half, and it was a happy, if bizarre, coincidence that one of the templates I liked the best was called “Neuron.” It was designed by Matt G.. I changed out the original nerve-endings header art, just so I would be a little different from the template and so people wouldn’t get my site confused with Matt’s.

I took the little Flickr badge, which gave you a random selection of my photos, off the sidebar because it was giving me some sort of problem with getting the site validated as XHTML. I’m not sure why; I think it was valid at the old site. It’s probably some crazy little piece of code that I’m overlooking. I will try to figure out a way to put it back eventually, but not tonight.

I hope you like it.

Very nice! Love the blue! And I’m always appreciative of people who design their sites so that we 800×600 users don’t have to scroll. :)
