Just chill

This morning, News2 was using Shelbyville as a sort of meteorological poster child. This was the coldest morning so far this fall, and while most of News2′s reporting stations were in the 30s, Shelbyville clocked in at 28 degrees, and indeed I was scraping frost off my windshield for the first time this morning.

Despite my comments yesterday about it being cool enough for 15-bean soup, I am not generally one of those people who rhapsodizes about the return of cool weather. I enjoy the one ground-covering snowfall we average here each winter, but other than that I would much, much rather be in warm weather than cool.

I could put you up in Arizona for a couple years and you would most definitely be writing poems about the change of the seasons. We have only two here: summer and spring.
