No, really — what would Jesus do?

My brother Michael posts so infrequently to his blog, Mental Emetic, that I feel compelled to call attention to it when he does.

(He actually says it’s not a blog, but I don’t know what else to call it.)

To be fair, it is the very fact of my infrequent posting that keeps me from calling it a blog. How about an occasional opinion bucket?

    A seldom-used screed recepticle?

Since “blog” is a contracted form of “Web log” (seven letters and a space being too much for the collective community to type) maybe there should be a catchy contraction for Michael’s site as well. Wopinion? Wrant?

Apparently I need coffee. Before anyone else notices it I’d like to go on the record as saying that “Web log” is six letters and a space, not seven. Of course “Web blog” would be seven letters, but that would be too circular even for me. Memetic is also seven letters, and is both a contracted form of Mental Emetic and a word of its own that refers to the science of memes (discreet units of thought.)

It’s a journal, and it happens to be in an electronic format. You know what that becomes — an ejournal. Online journal, because it is on the Internet. Ooo! There’s another one — iJournal. I like that one “I Journal”, a definitive statement … or “I, Journal” … I could go on and on.

Hmmm . . . maybe I should just post more often.
